The First Quarter Moon is Monday, June 26. Earth is at Solstice, when the evening is longest, on the twenty second. Saturn is now rising round 10 pm native time. Jupiter is distinguished within the morning sky and Mercury is misplaced to view. Venus is distinguished from the night twilight to early night and comes nearer to Mars. On the twenty second the crescent Moon, Venus and Mars make a triangle and on the twenty third the trio make a line.

Orion the Hunter, is setting on the western horizon whereas Sirius remains to be distinguished low within the western sky. Scorpius is instantly seen in within the east.

Between the brilliant star
Canopus and the Southern Cross are one other wealth of binocular objects to
uncover. With the Moon waxing that is nonetheless a wonderful time to look at them.

   

 Elsewhere
in Australia will see an analogous view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).
