Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub started a spacewalk at 1:49 p.m. EDT to put in an artificial radar communications system, launch a nanosatellite to check photo voltaic sail expertise, and examine and {photograph} an exterior backup radiator on the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module. Protection of the spacewalk continues on NASA Tv, the NASA app, and the company’s website.

Kononenko is carrying an Orlan spacesuit with pink stripes, whereas Chub is carrying the go well with with blue stripes. That is the sixth spacewalk in Kononenko’s profession, and the primary for Chub. It’s the 268th spacewalk for area station meeting, upkeep, and upgrades.
