NPR’s Ayesha Rascoe talks with heliophysicist India Jackson about Thursday’s big photo voltaic flare and the way it affected the Earth.

There was an enormous eruption just some days in the past on the solar, a robust photo voltaic flare launching particles that reached the Earth simply eight minutes later and disrupting radio indicators in Central and South America. INDIA JACKSON: Hello. Thanks for having me.
