The sci-fi movie Dune: Half Two is out in theaters now.

The film takes place on the desert planet, Arrakis, the place water is scarce and large, killer sandworms lurk beneath the floor. Arrakis is the one place a strong – and uncommon – house journey good known as spice exists. Dune: Half One follows Paul Atreides as he joins native Fremen, the individuals of Arrakis, and makes an attempt to carry peace to the planet. He continues this journey in Dune: Half Two.

This immersive epic introduces us to a world so totally different from Earth that we questioned: What do planetary scientists and biologists must say in regards to the science behind Arrakis and our different favourite sci-fi planets?

One scientist, Mohamed Noor, has plenty of expertise making an attempt to determine the best way to make fantasy appear life like. Along with his work as a biologist, Noor is a science advisor for the Star Trek tv franchise. How does it derive mass and the way does it derive power?” Noor says. “I am assuming it would not have like some type of atomic reactor inside its stomach or one thing like that… however is there a lot life down there underground that it could really purchase that a lot mass?”
