SpaceX is getting ready to launch the primary in a brand new collection of rideshare missions that it dubbed “Bandwagon.” The 11 satellites will launch onboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Launch Advanced 39A at NASA’s Kennedy House Heart.
Liftoff is about for 7:16 p.m. EDT (2316 UTC) and the forty fifth Climate Squadron forecast higher than 95 p.c odds of favorable circumstances at launch time.
Spaceflight Now can have dwell protection of the mission starting about an hour previous to liftoff.
Just like the “Transporter” rideshare flights, the Falcon 9 rocket for the Bandwagon-1 mission will launch with a batch of satellites, which can be deployed over a time period. Nonetheless, SpaceX has not disclosed the timing of the deployments because it sometimes does with Transporter missions.
That is probably as a result of presence of the South Korean Challenge 425 SAR (artificial aperture radar) satellites on board. The final time SpaceX launched a batch of those satellites, it additionally withheld timing data on spacecraft deployment.
Along with the 425Sat payload, the ten different spacecraft embody the next:
- HawkEye 360’s Clusters 8 & 9 (three satellites per cluster)
- Tyvak Worldwide’s CENTAURI-6
- iQPS’s QPS-SAR-7 TSUKUYOMI-2
- Capella House’s Capella-14
- Tata Superior Methods Restricted’s TSAT-1A
