The 2 NASA astronauts who will fly on Boeing’s first crewed Starliner spacecraft have arrived on the Kennedy Area Middle in Florida to arrange for his or her historic launch to the Worldwide Area Station on Might 6. 

Boeing Starliner Crew Flight Check commander Butch Wilmore and pilot Sunita Williams landed their NASA T-38 supersonic jet on the area middle’s Launch and Touchdown Facility after a brief flight from Houston’s Ellington Discipline close to the Johnson Area Middle. 

The astronauts will launch to the ISS on Boeing’s Starliner and an Atlas V rocket from Area Launch Advanced 41 on the Cape Canaveral Area Power Station close to KSC. Their  one-week mission to the ISS is a last shakedown cruise for Boeing’s Starliner to show it’s prepared for operational NASA crew flights. On the finish of the mission, Starliner will parachute to Earth and make a land-based touchdown within the southwestern United States.
