SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket with one other 20 Starlink satellites from California Sunday evening.

The Starlink September 11 mission featured 13 satellites that embody Direct to Cell capabilities. Liftoff from House Launch Complicated 4 East (SLC-4E) from Vandenberg House Power Base occurred at 9:53 p.m. PST (12:53 a.m. EST, 0553 UTC).



The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission, tail quantity B1071 within the SpaceX fleet, launched for an twentieth time. It beforehand launched two rideshare missions (Transporter-8 and Transporter-9), three nationwide safety missions (NROL-85, NROL-87 and NROL-146) and 12 Starlink missions.

A bit of greater than eight minutes after liftoff, B1071 landed on the SpaceX droneship, ‘Of Course I Nonetheless Love You.’ This was the 109th touchdown on OCISLY and the 370th booster touchdown so far.

The payload on this flight contains 13 Starlink satellites which have Direct to Cell capabilities. Following the launch of Starlink September 11 on Nov. 14, Ben Longmier, the senior director of satellite tv for pc engineering at SpaceX, mentioned there have been “three extra launches to finish the primary satellite tv for pc constellation for Starlink Direct to Cell.”
