SpaceX launching 22 Starlink web satellites from California right now

SpaceX plans to launch yet one more batch of its Starlink broadband satellites right now (Dec. 13).

A Falcon 9 rocket topped with 22 Starlink spacecraft is scheduled to carry off from California’s Vandenberg House Drive Base right now throughout a 3.5-hour window that opens at 2:28 p.m. EDT (1928 GMT; 11:28 a.m. native time in California).

SpaceX will webcast the motion through X, starting about 5 minutes earlier than launch.

If all goes to plan, the Falcon 9’s first stage will come again to Earth for a vertical landing on the drone ship “Of Course I Nonetheless Love You” about eight minutes after liftoff.

It is going to be the ninth liftoff and landing for this specific booster, in response to a SpaceX mission description. Six of its eight flights to this point have been Starlink missions.

The Falcon 9’s higher stage, in the meantime, will deploy the 22 Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit 60 minutes after launch.
