Roscosmos cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner concluded their spacewalk Dec. 19 at 5:53 p.m. EST after seven hours and 17 minutes.

Ovchinin and Vagner accomplished all of their main goals, which included putting in an experiment bundle designed to watch celestial x-ray sources and new electrical connector patch panels and eradicating a number of experiments for disposal. The 2 cosmonauts had been unable to finish their non-critical closing goal resulting from time constraints, which was to relocate a management panel for the European robotic arm, which is connected to the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module.

This was the second spacewalk in Ovinchin’s profession, and the primary for Vagner. It’s the 272nd spacewalk for house station meeting, upkeep, and upgrades.
