The New Moon is Tuesday December 31. Within the night Venus is coming nearer to Saturn. Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and Mars are seen all collectively (briefly) within the night sky. On the 2nd the skinny crescent Moon, Venus and Saturn kind a line. Jupiter is previous opposition and is seen all night time lengthy. Within the morning Mars and Jupiter proceed to attract aside. On the twenty ninth Mercury is under the skinny crescent Moon within the morning twilight.

Western night

Venus is quickly seen from early twilight to when the sky is absolutely darkish. Venus is coming nearer to Saturn.

North-eastern night
sky on Saturday, December 28 as seen from Adelaide at 22:18 ACDST (90 minutes after sundown), Jupiter is rising within the north-east.

Entire sky on Saturday, December 28 as seen from Adelaide at 22:33 ACDST, 105 minutes after sundown (click on
to embiggen). Mars is simply rising within the east. Jupiter is rising within the north-east. Saturn is now above the north-western horizon and coming nearer to Venus. Venus is simply setting.  Orion  the hunter now excessive within the north-east. The Southern Cross isrising within the Southern sky.  The moon is gone and the fainter clusters and nebula are actually readily seen.

 

    

 

 Elsewhere
in Australia will see an analogous view on the equal time (105 minutes after sundown).

 

 

Mercury is low within the morning twilight. On the twenty ninth Mercury is under the skinny crescent Moon.

Venus climbs greater within the night twilight and is quickly seen within the night twilight. Venus is coming nearer to Saturn.

Mars is rising within the night sky however remains to be higher within the morning.

Jupiter is rising within the the night sky when the sky is absolutely darkish and was at opposition, when it was largest and brightest as seen from Earth, on the December the eighth.

Saturn is reducing within the night sky coming nearer to Venus.
