NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore concluded their spacewalk at 1:09 p.m. EST Jan. 30. It was the ninth spacewalk for Williams and the fifth for Wilmore, and it was the 274th spacewalk in assist of area station meeting, upkeep, and upgrades. Williams surpassed former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson’s report for complete spacewalking time by a feminine astronaut. Williams now has 62 hours, 6 minutes of complete spacewalk time, fourth on NASA’s all-time checklist.
Williams and Wilmore accomplished their major targets, together with eradicating a radio frequency group antenna meeting from the station’s truss and accumulating samples of floor materials for evaluation from the Future laboratory and the Quest airlock.
