The Full Moon is Wednesday February 12. Saturn, Venus, Jupiter and Mars are seen all collectively (briefly) within the night sky and lined up with the Moon. The Moon is close to Jupiter on the sixth and seventh, then Mars on the ninth and tenth. Jupiter is previous opposition and is seen all night lengthy. Mars is rising within the night sky, and is seen all night time lengthy. Mercury is misplaced within the twilight. Fading Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) remains to be seen in binoculars.

The Full Moon is Wednesday February 12.

Western night
sky on Saturday, February 8 as seen from Adelaide at 21:16 ACDST (60 minutes

Venus is instantly seen from early twilight to when the sky is totally darkish, though its units shortly after. You’ll need a transparent, stage horizon to see Venus when the sky turns into totally darkish. Venus is drawing away to Saturn, which is changing into tougher to see within the horizon murk.

Northern night

North-eastern sky on Sunday, February 9 as seen from Adelaide at 21:49 ACDST (90 minutes after sundown, click on to embiggen). Mars varieties a triangle with Castor and Pollux. The moon is near the triangle.

Saturn and Venus are simply setting.  Jupiter is within the north.  Mars is within the north-east. The planets are outlined so you may see the place Uranus and Neptune are within the lineup however not seen to the unaided eye. Pluto is deep within the twilight. 

 

Orion  the hunter is excessive within the north.

 

The Southern Cross is rising within the Southern sky.  The moon is waxing to full and the fainter clusters and nebula are arduous to see.     

 

 Elsewhere
in Australia will see an analogous view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

 

 

Mercury is misplaced within the morning twilight.

Venus is reducing within the night twilight and is instantly seen. Within the night Venus is drawing away from Saturn.

Mars is rising within the night sky. Mars was at opposition, when it’s greatest and brightest as seen from Earth, on January the sixteenth and is seen all night time lengthy. The Moon is close to Mars on the ninth and tenth.

Jupiter is excessive within the the night sky when the sky is totally darkish. It’s shut close to the waxing moon on the sixth and seventh.

Saturn is reducing within the night sky drawing away from Venus.Saturn is quickly misplaced within the twilight.
