The Final Quarter Moon is Friday February 21. Venus, Jupiter and Mars are seen all collectively (briefly) within the night sky.   Jupiter is previous opposition and is seen all night lengthy. Mars is rising within the early night sky, and is seen all evening lengthy. Mercury and Saturn are misplaced within the twilight.

Western night
sky on Saturday, February 22 as seen from Adelaide at 20:59 ACDST (60 minutes
after sundown, click on to embiggen).   

Venus is instantly seen from early twilight to simply after nautical twilight. You’ll need a transparent, stage horizon to see Venus.  Venus is a skinny crescent in telescopes.

Saturn is misplaced within the twilight.

The inset is  the telescopic view of Venus at the moment.

Related views shall be seen from the remainder of Australia on the equal native time (60 minutes after sundown).

 

North-western night
sky on Saturday, February 22 as seen from Adelaide at 21:31 ACDST (90 minutes after sundown), Jupiter is within the north-west close to  the pink star Aldebaran.

 

The inset is the telescope view of  Jupiter at the moment.  (click on to embiggen). One other new storm has damaged out on Jupiter close to the primary one and should develop into seen in small telescopes.

 

 

Related views shall be seen from the remainder of Australia at roughly the equal native time (90 minutes after sundown).

Northern sky on Saturday, February 22 as seen from Adelaide at 21:31 ACDST (90 minutes after sundown, click on to embiggen). Mars varieties a triangle with Castor and Pollux. 

 

The inset is the telescope view of  Mars at the moment.  (click on to embiggen).

   

 

 

Related views shall be seen from the remainder of Australia at roughly the equal native time (90 minutes after sundown).

 

Complete sky on Saturday, Saturday, February 22 as seen from Adelaide at 21:31 ACDST, 90 minutes after sundown (click on
to embiggen). Venus has set.  Jupiter is within the north-west.  Mars is within the north. 

 

Orion  the hunter is excessive within the north.

 

The Southern Cross is rising within the Southern sky.  The moon is waning from full and the fainter clusters and nebula will begin to develop into extra seen.     

 

 Elsewhere
in Australia will see the same view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

 

 

Mercury is misplaced within the night twilight.

Venus is decreasing within the night twilight and is instantly seen within the late twilight. 

Mars is rising within the night sky. Mars was at opposition, when it’s greatest and brightest as seen from Earth, on January the sixteenth and is seen all evening lengthy. 

Jupiter is excessive within the the north-western night sky when the sky is absolutely darkish.

Saturn is misplaced within the twilight.
