Some scientists are satisfied that past Neptune, there is a planet they’ve but to see. This so-called “Planet 9” is so far-off, it might be a faint object.

The stretch of sky researchers must search is big. However a brand new astronomical facility on a mountaintop in Chile may assist deal with the search.

The NSF-DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory has been beneath building for years. Now, scientists are finetuning its devices so the telescope can start its 10-year mission of taking pictures of just about the whole southern sky.
