NASA, Axiom Area, and SpaceX now are focusing on no sooner than Sunday, June 22, for launch of the fourth personal astronaut mission to the Worldwide Area Station, Axiom Mission 4.
The change in a focused launch date gives NASA time to proceed evaluating area station operations after latest restore work within the aft (again) most section of the Worldwide Area Station’s Zvezda service module.
Peggy Whitson, former NASA astronaut and director of human spaceflight at Axiom Area, will command the business mission, whereas ISRO (Indian Area Analysis Organisation) astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla will function pilot. The 2 mission specialists are ESA (European Area Company) venture astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski of Poland and Tibor Kapu of Hungary.
The crew will raise off aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft on Falcon 9 from Launch Advanced 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Area Heart in Florida.
