constellation of Vela the sail, under the Southern Cross and close to the eta Carina Nebula.

Northern sky on the night of Saturday, July 19  as seen from Adelaide at 21:00 ACST (click on to embiggen)

Complete sky on Saturday, July 5 as seen from Adelaide at 18:47 ACST, 90 minutes after sundown (click on
to embiggen). Mars is within the north-west. 

 

Vivid Sirius  has set and Scorpius climbs in the direction of the Zenith.

 

The
Southern Cross is rising within the Southern sky.  The moon is waning and
the fainter clusters and nebula have gotten simpler to see.      

 

 

 Elsewhere
in Australia will see an analogous view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

 

 

Mercury  lowers within the night twilight.  

Venus is excessive within the morning twilight. It’s under Saturn. Venus can be under Uranus and Aldebaran  with the crescent Moon close by and Jupiter simply above the horizon.  

Mars is decreasing within the night sky and drawing means from the brilliant star Regulus. 

Jupiter reurns to the morning twilight under Venus twilight.

Saturn is excessive within the morning sky and is rising earlier than midnight.
