ESA challenge astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski captured these gorgeous timelapse movies throughout his 20-day keep aboard the Worldwide House Station as a part of Axiom Mission 4, generally known as Ignis. Filmed from the Cupola – the House Station’s iconic seven-windowed commentary module – the footage showcases breathtaking views of Earth and the Moon from orbit.
Launched on 25 June 2025 aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, Sławosz performed 13 experiments proposed by Polish establishments in collaboration with ESA, plus three ESA-led investigations. These spanned human analysis, supplies science, biology, biotechnology and know-how demonstrations.
The Ax-4 mission marks the second business human spaceflight for an ESA challenge astronaut. Ignis was sponsored by the Polish authorities and supported by ESA, the Polish Ministry of Financial Improvement and Know-how (MRiT) and the Polish House Company (POLSA).
