April’s full Pink Moon dazzles as the primary spring full moon of 2026 (pictures)

The First Quarter Moon is Tuesday February 24. The Lunar X can bee seen at First Quarter. Saturn is low within the western twilight. Saturn is close to the skinny crescent Moon on the twentieth. Jupiter dominates the northern sky. It varieties a broad triangle with the intense stars Betelgeuse and

The planet Uranus is theoretically seen to the unaided eye from Darkish sky areas, as it’s magnitude 5.7, however it’s best seen with binoculars. The gorgeous and apparent Pleiades cluster is the signpost to the faint planet. The waxing moon won’t intrude till later within the week. 

The inset is the binocular view of the Pleiades and Uranus at the moment.

North-eastern sky on Saturday, February 21  as seen from Adelaide at 21:32 ACDST (90

Vivid Canopus and Sirius are close to the Zenith. Orion is now excessive within the north-western sky. 

 

The
Southern Cross is low within the Southern sky.  The moon is waxing and
the fainter clusters and nebula have gotten tougher to see.    

 

 

 

   

Elsewhere
in Australia will see the same view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

  

Mercury is misplaced within the twilight. 

Venus is misplaced within the twilight glow. 

Mars is misplaced within the twilight. 

Jupiter climbs within the morning twilight and is now rising earlier than astronomical twilight. Jupiter varieties a broad triangle with the intense stars Betelgeuse and
Procyon, and a narrower triangle with the celebrities Castor and Pollux Jupiter was at opposition, when it’s largest and brightest as seen from Earth, on January the tenth.

Saturn is the brightest object within the north-western skies however is getting decrease within the twilight. Saturn is close to the skinny crescent Moon on the twentieth.
