Earth is is at its autumnal equinox on the twenty first.Venus begins to emerge from the twilight and is close to the skinny crescent moon on the twentieth and twenty first.. Jupiter dominates the northern sky. It varieties a broad triangle with the brilliant stars Betelgeuse and
Procyon, and a narrower triangle with the celebrities Castor and Pollux. On the twenty sixth Jupiter is near the  First Quarter  Moon. Within the morning Mars and Mercury are seen low to the horizon.

The First Quarter Moon is Thursday March 26. Earth is is at its autumnal equinox on the twenty first. The Moon is at perigee (when it’s closest to Earth) on the twenty second.

Western sky on the night of Saturday, March 21as seen from Adelaide
at 19:51 ACDST ( half-hour after sundown, click on to embiggen). 

Venus is seen simply above the western horizon, you’ll need a stage, unobscured horizon to see it. The skinny crescent Moon is close by.

Northern sky on Thursday, March 26 as seen from Adelaide
at 20:43 ACDST (90
minutes after sundown, click on to embiggen).  Jupiter was at opposition, when it’s largest and brightest as seen from Earth, on January the tenth, however shall be brilliant for a lot of months. Jupiter varieties a broad triangle with the brilliant stars Betelgeuse and Procyon, and a narrower triangle with the celebrities Castor and Pollux. Jupiter is near the  First Quarter  Moon.

Entire sky on  Saturday, March 14 as seen from Adelaide
at 20:50 ACDST, 90 minutes after sundown (click on
to embiggen). Jupiter is outstanding within the north.

 

Vibrant Canopus and Sirius are close to the Zenith. Orion is now within the north-western sky. 

 

The
Southern Cross is rising within the Southern sky.  The moon is waxing and
the fainter clusters and nebula have gotten onerous to see.    

 

 

 

   

Elsewhere
in Australia will see an analogous view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

  

Mercury returns to the morning twilight. 

Venus returns to the night twilight. The skinny crescent Moon is close by on the twentieth and twenty first

Mars is low within the twilight under Mercury. 

Jupiter is seen all through the night, setting after midnight. Jupiter was at opposition, when it’s largest and brightest as seen from Earth, on January the tenth.  Jupiter varieties a broad triangle with the brilliant stars Betelgeuse and
Procyon, and a narrower triangle with the celebrities Castor and Pollux. Jupiter is near the  First Quarter  Moon on the twenty sixth.

Saturn is misplaced within the twilight
