Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) ISON on the 28/11/2013 earlier than and after its encounter with the Solar.
Comet C/2026 A1 (MAPS) didn’t survive perihelion, wanting loads like comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) because the particles cloud exited the occulting disks of SOHO Lasco C3, C3 and CCOR-1.
The particles plume is much more rarefied than the extra condensed ISON plume. However like ISOn we’re unlikely to see a C/2011 W3 (Lovejoy) type headless tail.
