Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, set to carry NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams on the agency’s Boeing Crew Flight Test to the International Space Station, is lifted and stacked on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket

NASA groups joined Boeing on April 16 to maneuver the Starliner spacecraft out of the corporate’s Industrial Crew and Cargo Processing Facility on the company’s Kennedy Area Middle in Florida to the launch web site.

Technicians lifted and linked the spacecraft to the highest of a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket on the Vertical Integration Facility at Cape Canaveral Area Drive Station forward of NASA’s Boeing Crew Flight Test mission.

NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are the primary to launch aboard Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft to the International Space Station. Liftoff is scheduled for no sooner than 10:34 p.m. EDT Monday, Might 6, from Cape Canaveral’s Area Launch Advanced-41. The astronauts will spend a few week on the orbiting laboratory earlier than the crew capsule makes a parachute and airbag-assisted touchdown within the southwestern United States.

After profitable completion of the mission, NASA will start the ultimate means of certifying Starliner and its methods for crewed rotation missions to the house station.

Wilmore and Williams will wrap up flight preparations in Houston and arrive at NASA Kennedy no sooner than Thursday, April 25.
