The New Moon is Saturday, July 6. Earth is at aphelion on the fifth. Mercury is seen within the night twilight and is near the crescent Moon on the eleventh. Saturn enters the night sky round 11pm, however continues to be greatest within the morning. In a telescope Saturn’s well-known rings are virtually edge on.
