The Final Quarter Moon is Monday December 23. Earth is at solstice on the twenty first. Within the night Venus is coming nearer to Saturn. Jupiter , Saturn and Venus are seen within the night sky. Jupiter is simply previous opposition and is seen all evening lengthy. Within the morning Mars and Jupiter proceed to attract aside. Mars is near the  Moon on the morning of the nineteenth.

The Final Quarter Moon is Monday December 23.The Moon is at apogee, when it’s furthest from the earth, on the twenty fourth. Earth is at solstice on the twenty first, when the evening is shortest.

Venus is instantly seen from early twilight to when the sky is totally darkish. Venus is coming nearer to Saturn.

Entire sky on Saturday, December 21 as seen from Adelaide at 22:16 ACDST, 90 minutes after sundown (click on
to embiggen). Jupiter is rising within the north-east. Saturn is now above the north-western horizon and coming nearer to Venus. Orion  the hunter is rising within the east. The Southern Cross is low within the Southern sky.  The moon is gone and the fainter clusters and nebula at the moment are readily seen.

 

    

 

 Elsewhere
in Australia will see an analogous view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

 

 

Mercury is misplaced within the twilight.

Venus climbs increased within the night twilight and is instantly seen within the night twilight. Venus is coming nearer to Saturn.

Mars is rising within the morning sky and close to Jupiter. The pair proceed to attract aside. Mars is near the  Moon on the morning of nineteenth.

Jupiter is rising within the the night sky when the sky is totally darkish and wss at opposition, when it’s largest and brightest as seen from Earth, on the eighth.

Saturn is reducing within the night sky coming nearer to Venus.
