The U.S. Nationwide Science Basis Nationwide Radio Astronomy Observatory (NSF NRAO) took the Observatory’s new transportable Starlab planetarium on its debut outreach to the To’hajiilee Community School, part of the Navajo Nation, positioned half-hour west of Albuquerque, New Mexico. This occasion was not solely the debut for the cellular planetarium, however for the NSF NRAO’s new Senior Public Training Officer, Jason Schreiner, who joined the NSF NRAO’s Training and Public Outreach (EPO) group after serving as Planetarium Coordinator for the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Seaside, Florida.

The varsity reached out to the NSF NRAO’s EPO group so as to add some further leisure to their household vacation celebration. With the assistance of NSF NRAO Public Info Officer Corrina Jaramillo Feldman, the planetarium was deployed within the college’s gymnasium for a night of astronomy enjoyable. An imposing determine, the blow-up dome elicited curiosity from company at first look.

Upon coming into the totally inflated dome, Schreiner handled the households to a guided voyage via house.
