The asteroid Apophis, named after the Egyptian god of chaos and destruction
ESA-Science Workplace
In 4 years, on 13 April 2029 to be precise, a big asteroid named Apophis will fly by Earth simply 32,000 kilometres above the floor. Apophis, just like the not too long ago recognized asteroid referred to as 2024 YR4, was as soon as considered on a crash course with our planet. After its chance of hitting us was lowered to zero, and a few presumed sighs of aid, astronomers started planning for the day it might make its exceptionally shut flyby.
