NASA’s Perseverance Rover did not simply search for—it captured a dash throughout the Martian sky! On March 1st, its navigation digicam locked onto Deimos because the moon raced overhead within the pre-dawn darkness. Sixteen rapid-fire, 3-second exposures stacked collectively reveal the moon’s motion throughout the Martian sky. The images have been taken in very low mild, so it is fairly grainy and noisy, however there are two further stars within the sky, Regulus and Algieba, within the constellation Leo.
