at 06:12 ACST (60 minutes earlier than dawn, click on to embiggen).

Venus types a triangle with Aldebaran  and Betelgeuse with Jupiter under simply above the horizon.  

Venus can also be very near the intense star eta Geminorum

The insets are the telescopic views of Venus and Jupiter presently.

South-western sky on the night of Saturday, August 2  as seen from Adelaide at 19:02 ACST (90
minutes after sundown, click on to embiggen).

Nova V462
Lupi is roughly magnitude 7.7 and is seen in binoculars within the
constellation of Lupus the wolf, above the constellation of Scorpius.
The inset is the approximate binocular view. The nova is marked with
circle. Rising moonlight will make it more durable to seek out.

Nova V572 Velorum is roughly magnitude 6.7 and is seen in binoculars within the
constellation of Vela the sail, under the Southern Cross and close to the eta Carina Nebula.
The inset is the approximate binocular view. The nova is marked with circle. Nova V462
Lupi is close to the highest of the picture.

sky on Friday, August 1 as seen from Adelaide at 20:17 ACST The primary quarter moon is reducing within the sky and the Lunar X and V are seen
in telescopes.

North-eastern sky on Sunday, August 3 as seen from Adelaide at 19:01 ACST The waxing Moon is about to occult the star 2 Scorpii (circled) and three Scorpii quickly after. the moon may be very apparent within the head of Scorpius. 

 

The
inset is the telescopic look of the moon advert 2 Scorpii as it’s coated.  That is at 19:01 ACST, ~19:55 AEST for the jap states and Perth doesn’t see the beginning of the occultation.

Entire sky on Saturday, July 26 as seen from Adelaide at 18:47 ACST, 90 minutes after sundown (click on
to embiggen). Mars is within the north-west. 

 

Vibrant Canopus is brushing the horizon and Scorpius climbs in direction of the Zenith.

 

The
Southern Cross is rising within the Southern sky.  The moon is waxing and
the fainter clusters and nebula have gotten more durable to see.       

 Elsewhere
in Australia will see the same view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

 

 

Mercury  is misplaced within the night twilight.  

Venus is reducing within the morning twilight. Venus types a triangle with Aldebaran  and Betelgeuse with Jupiter under simply above the horizon.  

Mars is reducing within the night sky and Mars may be very near Beta Virginis because it enters Virgo.

Jupiter climbs within the morning twilight under Venus.

Saturn is reducing within the morning sky and is rising earlier than midnight.
