The New Moon is Wednesday, December 13. Saturn is highest within the
northern night sky round 7:00 p.m. native time. Jupiter is rising earlier than astronomical twilight and is now nicely seen within the night
sky. Venus is seen within the morning twilight and is near the skinny crescent Moon on the tenth. Mercury is seen low within the twilight and is near the skinny crescent moon on the 14th. The Geminid meteor bathe begins to peak on the night 14th-early morning fifteenth.

sky on Sunday, December 10 as seen from Adelaide at 04:49 ACDST, (60

this time.

Morning
sky on Friday, December 15 as seen from Adelaide at 03:30 ACDST, (when the Geminid radiant is highest, click on to embiggen).  Seen within the early morning till daybreak, this 12 months the height is on the 14th, with no moon interference. in the direction of the western horizon. Orion is rising within the east.

in Australia will see an analogous view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

 

 

Mercury is sinking within the twilight and is near the skinny crescent moon on the 14th.
