The First Quarter Moon is Saturday February 17. Saturn is misplaced to view. Jupiter is now within the north-western sky however nonetheless dominates the early night
sky. Jupiter is close to the Moon on the fifteenth. Venus is seen within the morning twilight above Mars. Mars climbs larger within the morning twilight closing in on Venus.

Thursday February 15 to Thursday February 22

Night sky on Thursday, February 15 as seen from Adelaide at 21:42 ACDST (90 minutes after sundown). Jupiter is low above the north-western horizon and never removed from the waxing crescent Moon.  The inset is the telescopic view at the moment.

    

Related views will likely be seen from the remainder of Australia on the equal native time (90 minutes after sundown).   

Morning
sky on Thursday, February 22 as seen from Adelaide at 05:58 ACDST, (60
minutes earlier than dawn, click on to embiggen). Venus and Mars come progressively shut over the week, and are actually at their closest, lower than half a finger-width methods. Mars is rising within the morning twilight and is coming nearer to Venus.  The pair re spectacularly shut on the twenty second.

Jupiter is highest round civil twilight and is now seen low within the early night sky. Jupiter is close to the Moon on the fifteenth.

Saturn is misplaced within the twilight.
