Danielle Rowland, Senior Broadening Participation Applications Supervisor, was not too long ago appointed as Native Nations Engagement Lead of the U.S. Nationwide Science Basis Nationwide Radio Astronomy Observatory (NSF NRAO), a job she’s going to assume alongside her present administration of many Office of Diversity and Inclusion student programs. She is an enrolled member of the Tonawanda Seneca Nation positioned in Western New York State and has labored to construct connections between indigenous students all through her tutorial profession by means of public displays, group gatherings and outreach occasions. 

Danielle’s accomplishments are spectacular. As an astrophysics graduate from Columbia College, a National Astronomy Consortium (NAC) alum, co-I on the VA-NC Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP), Cosmic AI Director of Broadening Participation, and Senior Supervisor of ODI Pupil Applications, Danielle has helped construct NRAO’s fame as a world chief within the space of broadening participation in STEM.

Danielle’s latest presentation on the IAU, “Diversifying STEM: Collaborative Initiatives at NRAO”, highlights her vital impression on pupil achievement in STEM.
