On the launch anniversary of the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb House Telescope, ESA presents a novel compilation of zooms into beautiful cosmic views.
So embark on a particular journey: as if aboard a digital spaceship, this video will take you thru interstellar dives into the wealthy realm of our Universe. We’ll go to vibrant nebulas and dynamic star nurseries in our personal galaxy. Then enterprise past, to journey to the distant reaches of the cosmos and marvel at interacting galaxies and big galaxy clusters.
The biggest house telescope ever, Webb was launched on Christmas Day in 2021, on an Ariane 5 rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. It carried out its first scientific observations in July 2022. Since then, the highly effective telescope has been tirelessly exploring the Universe, from the photo voltaic neighbourhood to probably the most distant galaxies.
