Sophie flies as mission specialist. The opposite Crew-12 members are NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, respectively commander and pilot of the mission, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev, mission specialist.

The French ESA astronaut is the primary of her class, the Hoppers, to fly. Sophie has chosen the title εpsilon for her mission, which can last as long as 9 months. On board the Station, she is going to conduct a variety of duties, together with European-led scientific experiments and medical analysis, assist Earth remark actions, and contribute to operations and upkeep on the Station.
