Over the previous fews days within the morning twilight three vibrant planets, Mercury, Mars and Saturn, have been drawing nearer.
On the sixteenth there’s a pretty massing with three unaided eye planets simply above the japanese horizon, all inside a 6° circle.
Mercury on the high is 4° from Mars and 6° from Saturn, as a bonus, the slender crescent of the waning 28-day-old Moon is close by. The planets then come nearer and type an in depth triable between the nineteenth to twenty first.
Mars is closest to Saturn on the twentieth (1.1°).
On the twenty first one other good shut conjunction happens with Mercury 0.6° from Saturn and 1.6° from Mars. Mars has shut approaches with the Moon on the sixteenth (3°), Saturn on the twentieth (1.1°) and Mercury on the twenty first (1.7°).
After the shut massing from the twenty third the planets stretch out right into a line with Mercury heading in direction of the horizon and fading.
