Replace Might 21, 7:36 a.m. EDT (1136 UTC): SpaceX confirms deployment of the 29 Starlink satellites.

SpaceX launched a batch Starlink V2 Mini Optimized satellites on a Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral House Pressure Station about 20 minutes earlier than dawn Thursday morning. The morning lighting illuminated the plume of the rocket in a so-called ‘jellyfish impact’ for these viewing the launch from the East Coast of the US.

The Starlink 10-31 mission added one other 29 broadband web satellites to the low Earth orbit constellation that consists of greater than 10,000 spacecraft. This was the forty sixth mission supporting SpaceX’s Starlink program.

Liftoff from House Launch Complicated 40 occurred at 6:04 a.m. EDT (1004 UTC). The Falcon 9 rocket flew on a north-easterly trajectory.



The forty fifth Climate Squadron forecast a 90 % probability for favorable situations at liftoff. Meteorologists mentioned they’re monitoring a small probability for interference from cumulus clouds.

“A slow-moving disturbance over the Bahamas helps provide this moisture and might also generate some convection within the early morning hours,” launch climate officers mentioned. “These showers and related clouds will probably be our important concern for violation of climate constraints on each the primary and backup home windows with concentrate on the Cumulus Cloud Rule.”

SpaceX launched the mission utilizing the Falcon 9 first stage booster with the tail quantity B1077. This was its twenty eighth flight following missions, like NASA’s Crew-5, CRS-28, and NG-20.
