The First Quarter Moon is excessive above the western horizon and the lunar “X” and “V” are simply seen in a small telescope.

Complete sky on  Saturday, June twentieth  as seen from Adelaide
at 18:42 ACST, 90 minutes after sundown (click on
to embiggen). Jupiter and Venus are distinguished low within the north-west.

 

Brilliant Canopus and Sirius are sinking into the west. Scorpius, is instantly seen above the south-eastern horizon. 

 

The
Southern Cross is at its zenith within the Southern sky.  The Moon is waxing and
the fainter clusters and nebula have gotten tougher to see to see.    

 

 

   

Elsewhere
in Australia will see an identical view on the equal time (90 minutes after sundown).

  

Mercury climbs greater within the  night twilight, under Venus and Jupiter. On the twenty fifth Mercury and Jupiter are shut within the twilight.

Venus climbs greater within the night twilight and is now seen when the sky is absolutely darkish. Venus is drawing away Jupiter within the night sky. 18th, the Moon is near Venus and the Beehive cluster. On the twentieth, Venus  and the Beehive are at their closest.

Mars is climbing within the twilight. 

Jupiter is low above the horizon, setting within the early night. On the twenty fifth Mercury and Jupiter are shut within the twilight.

Saturn is climbing within the twilight above Mars.
